Basic Information

THE PARK EASTER OCTATHLON will take place on Wednesday 8 April 2009 in the premises of THE PARK. This entertaining competition tournament is designated for four-member teams. At least one member of the team must be a woman. The capacity of the competition is set in advance for 30 teams. The teams which will register upon the depletion of the capacity will be included in the tournament as the substitutes.

Tournament Course

Each team will gradually take part in 8 contest disciplines in the surrounding of the CLUB HOUSE restaurant. The time for the fulfillment of each task is set to about 5 – 10 minutes. Thus, the total time of the contest of one team will amount to approximately an 1 hour. In the registration it is possible to choose a starting time. It means that you can plan the participation in the contest according to your needs. The continuous results of the teams will be displayed on the central result table during the whole duration of the tournament. The experienced instructors will lead you through the entire contest.

Disciplines

All contest disciplines are connected with the oncoming Easter and the popular symbols of spring holiday. You will try a giant braided whip made from pussywillow twigs or fighting with balance in a special Easter maze. You will be able to compete with the others in the contest in the throw of an Easter egg to the length and measure the accuracy as well as when dealing with an unusual puzzle. At the end you will be able to prove, for amusement of yourself and passers-by, your skills on the original mechanical catcher of eggs. For the participation in the competition no special clothes or equipment are necessary. All necessary tools for managing the prepared disciplines will be provided to you during the competition. The exact rules of the activities will be explained to you by the instructors at the individual stations. The competition will take place no matter of what the weather will be like.

Prizes

Three best teams of the tournament will obtain valuable prizes. The announcement of the winners will take place immediately upon the termination of the competition, approximately at 4:30 p.m. in front of the CLUB HOUSE restaurant.

All participants will participate in THE PARK OPEN 2008 tournament at their own risk. The medical supervision will be ensured by the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to make any change in the rules during the tournament.
